LIFEbeat runs year-round online Youth Councils to represent the voices of young people in the UK. Currently, we have two regional councils for London and the South West.
LIFEbeat’s Youth Council plays an essential role in helping to build the confidence and leadership skills of young people, and ensures our youth programmes and organisational culture are informed by input from our young people, and that the voices of young people are fully represented to our Core Team and Board of Trustees.

LIFEbeat Youth Council Goals
The goals of the LIFEbeat Youth Council are:
- To ensure that young people have the opportunity to influence the development of the LIFEbeat programmes, organisation and activities
- To ensure that the views of the LIFEbeat youth community are strongly represented to the LIFEbeat, core team and Board of Trustees
- To give young people a voice on issues that they face today and to ensure that these are incorporated into LIFEbeat’s central mission and programmes
- To provide an opportunity for youth alumni to gain skills and experience and to access opportunities to take action on the things they care about
