It has been under a month since the Brighton Marathon 2018 took place and we are celebrating Neil’s success on this years’ run!
After a tough run on the 2017 edition, Neil made sure he was ready for the challenge – a bit of extra preparation and self-care goes a long way!
“I added extra training this year, more core squats and a better diet really helped. It is the best I have felt after a marathon for a long time. I am not sure what I will do next year, whether a bike ride or a Triathlon, but whatever I do it will be for Lifebeat.”
We are incredibly grateful for Neil’s dedication and hard work, his efforts to prepare for the Brighton marathon and to fundraise along the way hugely support the work we do and ensure we are able to offer our programs to young people who are unable to afford the full cost.
“I am really glad I could help out again this year. It seems more important with all the violence going on in teenagers that we can help children actually go and enjoy themselves and relieve the pressure of modern life. Best of luck with this summer camps.”
You can still support Neil’s fundraising campaign for this year, the campaign will be open until the end of May.
Help Neil reach his fundraising target for 2018!
Stay tuned for more information about other fundraising efforts within the LIFEbeat community, our Returnees are taking on their own challenges too!
